We welcome all young players, novice or experienced, to play both hardball and softball cricket. Our fantastic new home and inspiring setting has helped to cultivate an environment for families to stay, watch and even participate.
In 2017 we are very excited to have partnered with the ECB for their All Stars Cricket programme. This will see the single largest investment in junior grass roots cricket to inspire those 8 years and younger.
Our older children are coached in hardball cricket and have the opportunity to play in the EACA league, via our newly formed Wealden Wolves Select XI alongside Battle CC as well as local Development XI games.
Whilst we train and play it is far from unheard of for our families to stay and join in - or for some take tea and cake in the pavilion!
We are committed to offering fun competitive cricket with our families at the heart of the club.
Our coaches try and make playing cricket as enjoyable as possible and know that whatever your standard of play you can contribute to this wonderful team sport.
We also believe that cricket should be accessible to all and therefore ensure all neccessary kit and equipment is available to all in our squads.
Whilst competition is a fundamental part of sport we also hope to instil the fundamentals of teamwork, respect and sportsmanship in all our players.
Our players play with a smile on their faces, which can only be widened if on the correct side of any result!
Piranhas are part of the wider Pett Cricket Club community, a friendly village club fielding 3 senior teams -2 Saturday sides in the Sussex League as well as a 3rd in the Sunday KVCL.
In 2018 we see a new initiative between Pett Piranhas and Battle CC in the creation of Wealden Wolves - a select XI formed of players between both junior sections and entered into the league structure for the coming season. We hope that this will lead to our older players having even more opportunity to play competitive, fun, cricket.
We have also nurtured close links with several local clubs to ensure plenty of cricket throughout the season.
Further links with our local community and businesses have also ensured strong growth over the years, we thank them all.
We would love as many players and families to join us - so feel free to pop along and have a try! Kids cricket in Hastings and surrounding areas.
